About

LAtitude Guides

LAtitude Guides was created for travelers who want to experience Los Angeles as more than a checklist of places they’ve seen online. This is not a packaged bus tour built around rigid schedules or rushing from place to place.

Each experience is designed around how you want to spend your time. That might mean visiting well-known landmarks, exploring a neighborhood with character, spending time at a museum, getting out for a walk, or discovering a place with some history.

The way we move through the city matters too. Sometimes that means a scenic drive. Sometimes it means getting out on foot. Sometimes it simply means slowing down enough to notice the places between destinations.

The goal is to experience Los Angeles beyond the usual tourist version of the city. To make that possible, I’ll ask a few questions beforehand so the day reflects what you’re actually interested in.

    Your Guide

When I first moved to Los Angeles in 2001, I knew the version many people know: Hollywood, traffic, and the stereotypes. I had no idea how much more there was beneath the surface.

What I discovered over the next two decades was something very different.

In a city known for its traffic, many Angelenos build their lives around living close to where they work. My work was different, regularly taking me through neighborhoods, back streets, business districts, industrial corridors, and the spaces in between across Los Angeles.

In 2017, I moved away from Los Angeles for work. What I thought would be temporary turned into more than four years away, with the pandemic making visits more difficult than expected.

When I finally returned, I saw the city differently. After years away, I found myself experiencing Los Angeles as both a resident and a visitor at the same time, rediscovering places I once took for granted and seeing others with fresh eyes.

That perspective became the foundation for LAtitude Guides.

I believe the best way to experience a city is not just as a tourist, but as a guest: through neighborhoods, stories, food, architecture, culture, and the details many people drive past.

I’m Jeremy, founder of LAtitude Guides. My goal is simple: to help people experience Los Angeles with more context, curiosity, and authenticity.
